Surf Local Accessibility Statement
Status: DRAFT — pending review Effective Date: May 28, 2026 Last Updated: May 28, 2026
Our Commitment
Surf Local, Inc. is committed to making its consumer, agent, and embedded mortgage experiences accessible to people of all abilities. We design and build our websites, mobile web experiences, and mobile applications to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a baseline.
Scope
This commitment applies across Surf Local's consumer-facing pages, search results, listings, forms, account settings, chat tools, and mortgage-related workflows; the agent dashboards, CRM interfaces, messaging tools, onboarding forms, verification workflows, and AI tools; and the embedded mortgage calculators, pre-qualification forms, document views, lender-routing screens, and disclosures.
What We Build For
In support of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, our experiences are built to include:
- A single logical heading hierarchy and navigable page structure on each screen.
- Keyboard operability for all controls, with no hidden keyboard traps.
- Sufficient color contrast, including at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- Screen-reader labels for icons, buttons, dialogs, and dynamic modules.
- Form labels, errors, and instructions that are programmatically associated with their fields.
- Visible focus indicators and full keyboard navigation support.
- Accessible modal, drawer, and chatbot behavior.
- Mobile accessibility support, including mobile-friendly touch targets and orientation-aware layouts, because WCAG principles apply to mobile apps and mobile web as well as desktop web.
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is treated as a core build requirement rather than a post-launch patch. We continue to test, review, and improve our experiences, and we recognize that some areas may not yet fully meet every success criterion.
